چکیده
Low Pathogenicity Avian Influenza virus subtype H9N2 causes decreased egg production and two of the four defined poultry lineages (G1 Y280) have been associated with human infections. The high positive test results for in LBMs Greater Jakarta area 2021 can be a source transmission surrounding area. This study aims to determine prevalence risk factors that play role contamination obtain multivariate analysis model. A cross-sectional was conducted on 87 vendors 124 broiler chickens from 44 randomly selected Tangerang City, North Jakarta, Bekasi City. Samples were taken as equipment swabs at stall carcass vendors, tracheal swabs, cloacal chicken. used Real-Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction. Data performed using univariate, bivariate, logistic regression. The LBM level 2022 77.27% (95% CI, α 7%), while vendor 54.02% 5%). significant p-value<0.05 include swab samples, both use sink. model Logit P (H9N2=1 | x) = 0.29924 - 2.42176PPE + 1.58691carcass factor contributing increase is sinks, PPE one reduces contamination.

Genetic Analysis of Hemagglutinin Protein of H9N2 Isolated from Live Bird Markets in Tehran Province in 2007-2008
Background and Aims: Influenza A virus subtype H9N2 have continued to circulate in domestic poultry farms in Asia since 1998. The virus circulates in live bird markets, missing link in epidemiology of avian influenza. Regarding previous studies on H9N2 viruses of Iran and having no data on this subject in Iranian live bird markets this study was conducted to analyze genetically hemagglutinin pr...
متن کاملRisk factors for typhoid and paratyphoid fever in Jakarta, Indonesia.
CONTEXT The proportion of paratyphoid fever cases to typhoid fever cases may change due to urbanization and increased dependency on food purchased from street vendors. For containment of paratyphoid a different strategy may be needed than for typhoid, because risk factors for disease may not coincide and current typhoid vaccines do not protect against paratyphoid fever. OBJECTIVE To determine...
متن کاملLive Bird Markets of Bangladesh: H9N2 Viruses and the Near Absence of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Influenza
Avian influenza surveillance in Bangladesh has been passive, relying on poultry farmers to report suspected outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 influenza. Here, the results of an active surveillance effort focusing on the live-bird markets are presented. Prevalence of influenza infection in the birds of the live bird markets is 23.0%, which is similar to that in poultry markets in other countri...
متن کاملEnvironmental Sampling for Avian Influenza Virus A (H5N1) in Live-Bird Markets, Indonesia
To identify environmental sites commonly contaminated by avian influenza virus A (H5N1) in live-bird markets in Indonesia, we investigated 83 markets in 3 provinces in Indonesia. At each market, samples were collected from up to 27 poultry-related sites to assess the extent of contamination. Samples were tested by using real-time reverse transcription-PCR and virus isolation. A questionnaire wa...
متن کاملPrevalence of Avian Influenza in Live Bird Markets, Bird Gardens, and Zoos in Iran in 2015: A Cross-sectional Study
Avian Influenza (AI) H9N2 is endemic in Iran; therefore, it is necessary to estimate the disease prevalence among birds in live bird markets (LBMs) and assess the risk spread across the country. Accordingly, this study aimed to estimate the prevalence of AI subtypes in LBMs, bird gardens, and zoos during October and November 2015 in Iran and investigate the associated risk factors. Data related...
